5. RobinsOwn Soap Shoppe on Etsy.
Robin makes soap by hand in her home using goat's milk and a cold process method that I do not understand.
I do understand that the soap is beautiful to see, smell, and touch.

We currently have a lovely sweet wine heart-shaped soap in the powder room. Who knew that wine scented soap would smell so delicate and clean?

I don't have a picture of them, but for Christmas I gave some people Robin's Madonna and Child shaped Cherry Almond soaps.

I'm saving this one for summer. It's called Icky Yucky Hands. It's so pretty, it looks like it would taste good.
Robin is a single mom who runs her Soap Shoppe out of her own home. She doesn't have a car, so she walks to the post office to deliver her handmade products every Friday.
I don't know Robin and she has no idea who I am, but I do know her soaps and recommend them to everyone I know. I call her "my soap lady."

It might be dangerous to get during a lent when I've given up chocolate. I can hear Sean now, "Honey… what happened to the soap?" So, maybe I should stick with the Simply Goat Milk.

ReplyDeleteAs for the soap, I love the LOOK of her soaps alone. I can only imagine how good they smell. I've got a son who would love the dragon one, a daughter who would go nuts over the mermaid, and I want the woman's face in profile in my half bath. As for scent, Cedar Bay sounds like it might be my fav, but then there's peppermint kiss which would likely make me smile every day. Oh and you can't forget to include Sexy Man on a list of favs. Shoot! I think I just developed a new addiction!

ReplyDeleteI apologize if this comment is a repeat, I could not see it listed so I posted again. My youngest daughter commented on how some of the soaps look like fresh made fudge. My other daughter said "that looks good, you should make that for dessert tonight (pumpkin bier)." "Ummm. Abbey, it is soap." "Oh, never mind then, just buy it.". While I would choose them all based on beauty, the oatmeal milk and honey may just save my winter skin. Thanks for the introduction to Robin's Own. I'm in love.

Lol I am making a lot of that one today, including a version that has some incredible essential oils in it. I was sick for a quite a long time and am now happily making soap once again.
