Here's the whole fam. From left, Susan is wearing a lovely frock from Ann Taylor Loft, with these coral wedges, Peter is wearing Men's Wearhouse. My dad bought all of the young men in the family dark suits with green ties for Mary's funeral last summer. That's me in my first Anthropologie clothing purchase, you'll see my footwear below, Jill is wearing Gymboree, the Chef is wearing his summer poplin suit, origin unknown or forgotten. Lucy is wearing a cami dress from Von Maur juniors clearance rack last fall, $9 for the win! Edmund is in front wearing the lavendar shirt from last Easter with a new bow tie.
These are my tall riding boots from Chuck's Bootery in St. Louis. I heart them. And I cannot find them online. But they are tall and brown, and zip up the side. They have cowboy heels but riding boot tops. They are the bomb.
Know what else is the bomb? This lady:
You might have heard about Mary Magdalene, Mary the wife of Clopas (mother of James), and Joanna looking for our Lord this a.m. Did you remember that Joanna is Jessica in Hebrew? That's my girl.
From deep in the heart of Texas, I wish you and yours a Happy Easter Y'All!
Ha. You just juxtaposed your boots with St. Joanna. I heart you.

A blessed Name Day to you! In Orthodoxy, the second Sunday after Pascha (Easter) is the Sunday of the Holy Myrrhbearers, so you would have another Nameday then.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea about the Joanna - Jessica connection.
