Still a little eye bulging to show that she's not 100% on board with this whole thing. Not shown: her ankle brace from Urgent Care. She sprained her ankle at track practice. No gym, no (mom freezing her keister off at) track meets for a week.

What We Wore on Sunday
I guess everyone in this house feels the same way about getting their picture taken.
Fake it, til you make it.
Peter is wearing colored pants from Levi's, because Levi's are the only pants we can find that come in sizes like 29x29. We have also found that the slim fit, or skinny styles are longer than the boot cut style and thus will last a month or two longer before it looks like flood season again.
He is also sporting a v-neck pullover from American Eagle and some Sperry look-a-likes from Shoe Carnival.
None of this was visible under his cassock and surplice while he served the 11am Mass, the Thornton standard.

I am smiling. Welcome to last year's Easter outfit. Floral shell and jacket: Talbot's, skirt: my favorite pencil skirt from Target, shoes: Ann Taylor. Pearl earrings, fake pearl bracelet from Kohl's.
I'm not sure if it's the outfit or the pose, but I feel like "The Senator's Wife."
This girl wore a lovely frock passed to us from her sweet friends, Annie and Mary. She also wore brand new white stockings that she turned into footless tights upon returning home from church.
The shoes started out on the right feet.
And a photobomb. Because there is always a photobomb.
Not pictured: Susan, she wore the same outfit as last week, Edmund who refused to put his shoes back on, and the Chef, who changed before I could torture him.

The head bobble cracked me up. And you totally look like a senator's wife. Come on, Chef... time to get that political career going! Your kids are all so gorgeous, but Jill...my goodness, she's adorable! Look up "imp" in the dictionary and I'm betting she'll be there! Does she sprinkle pixie dust where ever she goes?

ReplyDeleteThanks. She just called me gay on her blog. Yay.
DeleteI love Bacon, Children's Books and YA novels. I think we could be friends. Great idea taking a pic of the kiddos and their outfits... I may have to do that!
ReplyDeleteLet's be friends! Bacon and Books! For the World!
Delete"Lucy is sporting a sarcastic head bobble...." almost won, but then your "I *am* smiling" comment beat it by a hair.
ReplyDeleteHehe Lucy's pose is perfect - posing for these pictures is always so awkward!
ReplyDeleteI love that color on you, and I think it's definitely just the pose, but the comparison made me giggle. And I'm glad I'm not the only one still watching The Office!
OMG, the Senator's wife! I hope your husband doesn't have similar interests :)
ReplyDeleteI am the least gay person I know.
DeleteHahn husband and I just caught up on The Offce this weekend! You all look great, and I love the clever fashion commentary.
