As James Kennedy, the founder of the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival says on his website, "The 90-Second Newbery Film Festival is a video contest in which filmmakers of any age make movies that tell the entire story of a Newbery award-winning book in 90 seconds or less."
Our local public library has a Kids' Book Club, of which Edmund is a sometime participant. The Kids' Book Club recently completed and submitted their entry for the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival.

2. More Prayers for Baby Isaac
If you're keeping tabs on my sister Anne's lovely chunky monkey, Isaac, he had surgery yesterday for cysts on his larynx. You can read all about it here. Please keep the Bazins in your prayers.

Cari is hosting an Embroidery Along to Benefit Quilts of Valor! Quilts of Valor is an organization that makes quilts for servicemen and women, both active and retired.
All we have to do is an embroider a 10x10 square of fabric with something patriotic, and send it to Cari. Her mom will piece and quilt the finished product.

4. Last week's Kindle E-Book Lend and Borrow worked so well, thanks to Charlotte and Micaela. Well, I've got another one!

Remember, you don't have to have a Kindle, you can read it on a Kindle app. I can only loan it once, and once you get it, it will expire after two weeks, but for those two weeks, it's yours!
5. Bodily Fluids
Yesterday, I had an appointment at my midwives. Every pregnant patient has to pee in a dixie cup, label it, and leave it on a tray in the lab/kitchen.
I may or may not have tripped on the rug in my snow-boots and splashed urine all over the tray and the other samples. About those other samples...sowwy!
6. Oh. I promised you a poop story.
It's a doozy!
My favorite 2 year old had been complaining of intermittent stomach pains, when it occurred to me yesterday am that it had been a while...you know. Which was odd, because we had been eating this delicious Kale, White Bean, and Italian Sausage Soup for a few days.
Well, the soup did it's job, and she did her job in the potty, and it was so impressive in length, that I might have snapped a photo and texted it to Patrick.
Patrick might have been in a meeting with some people he works with and some graphic design folks, and that photo might have flashed up on his phone during the meeting.
But he saw it right away and turned the phone over.
He also says the photo does not adequately show the length.
Here's the lesson I learned from this episode in the non-stop comedy romp that is my life: Next time, I will drop a ruler in the toilet for perspective.
