The Non-Stop Comedy Romp

Here is a smattering of the things that get said/done around here on a regular basis.

Upon opening the much desired and now-beloved ukulele she got for Christmas,

"It's great...but...it's...kind of small?"

face.palm.

While eating potato chips,  "I don't like these gluten-free potato chips."

Yes,wouldn't they be better if they were breaded first and then fried?

Susan took three of her siblings to Hobby Lobby over Christmas break to buy cake-pop supplies.

Five minutes after they left, I got a call from Lucy asking for directions to Hobby Lobby.

The cake pops were a success!

Henceforth, Canadian bacon shall be known as "piggy-cakes."

This girl also keeps correcting my use of the word "dress." She prefers the term "gown."

She spends a good part of most days yelling at this poor animal.  "NO DOGS IN THE PALACE!"

Yesterday, I heard Patrick calling one of our children an idiot.

I asked Lucy, "Who's the idiot?"

Lucy:  Edmund

Me:  Why?

Lucy:  Because he is stuck in his laundry basket.

Then I put this whole interchange on Facebook where I got numerous requests (2) for a photo, so Edmund cheerfully re-created the event.

After I took the picture, I kicked the basket forward so he could crab-walk out of there.

Here is some live-footage of Jill in action:

What you were hearing was "I'm a boy, I'm a boy, I'm a girl," plus a whole lot of Frozen's Let It Go.

Jill is not my only dramatic artist.

Lucy and Susan were both cast in their school's spring musical, Peter Pan, with this girl starring as Peter!

Congratulations, Lucy!

If there were categories for Best-Looking, Smartest, Funniest, Coolest, and Most-Inspiring READERS of a blog, I would sweep all the categories.  That's why those categories don't exist, because I already won.
