7 Quick Tales from the Drive-Thru or Susan Says

Susan recently began her new post at a new location of

Susan, being Susan, came home from work last night and shared some of her more classic moments.

1.

Susan:  I called a man, a "Ma'am" tonight.

2.

Susan:  When I got to work, my boss told me that tonight I'd be in the back plucking.

I just stared at him.

He said, "As in pulling feathers out of dead chickens."

More staring.

He finally said, "Just kidding."

3.

Susan:  What I really had to do was de-bread fried chicken pieces for the chicken salads and tortilla soup.

Me:  Did you wear gloves?

Susan:  Yes, but my hands got really soft.

4.

Susan:  The first time I went through the drive-thru there, before I worked there, the guy said, "Hi! My name is Michael.  May I take your order?" and I said, "Hi! My name is Susan."

*That was the same day that she got lost on her way there.

5.  Susan's uniform shirt has two reinforced holes through which the pin for the name tag goes.

Sometimes, she still manages to wear her name tag on the wrong side of the shirt.

6. Last week, Susan took the ACT.

She came home and crowed about how easy it was, and how she probably aced it.

Later that evening, when Patrick was chopping something for dinner, Susan walked past him and exclaimed, "Whoa!  Dad!  You have shoulder blades?!?"

We can't WAIT to see how she did on the science portion.

7.  Sometimes, we call her "Sue Heck."

If you've ever watched The Middle, you'll understand why.

  4. So funny, Jessica! And I must really be a blogger now, because when you said she began her new post, I mentally pictured a female sitting in a car at a Chic-fil-A, you know, blogging.
