Cake Pops: Tips, Tricks, and Recipes for More Than 40 Irresistible Mini Treats was a last minute Christmas gift for Susan.
2. Sometimes, the last minute gifts turn out to be the best gifts.
Plus, I've been downloading stuff from my public library like mad. I am an e-reader convert.
4. I haven't done much reading these last few days though, because I've been down a rabbit hole of homeschool planning.
Edmund and I are going to add some lapbook-notebooking projects this year. We are very anti-workbook and busy work here. Graphic organizers have been recommended to us over and over again as a great way for him to learn, by the professionals who diagnosed his dyslexia.
5. I'm thinking in January, in addition to mummifying a chicken for our unit study of Ancient Egypt, we'll do this free Ancient Egypt lapbook.
6. Also, this Apostles' Creed lapbook from Lapbooks for Catholics meshes well with our 5th grade Faith and Life book.
7. I am relying on my Saint of the Year, St. Francis Xavier Cabrini to guide me.
Linking up with Jen who lives in a much warmer place.
I would like to humbly suggest you add canolis to your list of Italian foods to eat more of this year.
ReplyDeleteI second the motion. All in favor?

DeleteLibrary books to the kindle has changed my life. I used to think I read a lot. I was kidding myself. Now I read a lot.
ReplyDeleteAwesome takes! Pizza all around!
ReplyDeleteThose cake pops are so cute!! And I got St. Patrick so perhaps I'll drink more beer in his honor.
ReplyDeleteI am beyond jealous of your patron....

I have a ton of resources I'd be happy to lend you.
ReplyDeletePizza and cake pops? Maybe I'll just drive the resources to your house after all.
I'm three hours to the west of Jessica, feel free to say hi on your way :)
DeleteI never thought I could make the switch to ebooks, but it's SO convenient! Free classics, library books with no late fees, and I can read in bed at night without the light on!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Kindle....carrying 2000 books at once in your purse is just all kinds of awesome!! I love e-books!
ReplyDeleteLapbooks are a great homeschool tool. My kids really enjoy making them and find them to be really fun! I'm curious about the Thinking Maps...I'm going to go check those out.
And, I got St. Margaret of Cortona, Patron Saint of a bunch of stuff that I don't want to be. I
